Super Bowl 57 Line Movement Frenzy | News Article by Inspin.com

Since the two teams for Super Bowl 57 were decided just under a week ago, the line for the game has not stopped moving.

When it first opened, the Kansas City Chiefs were a 2-point favorite, and just 30 seconds later, the line flipped to the Philadelphia Eagles as a result of heavy action from the public where they were given a 1-point advantage on the spread.

For this game the Eagles spread is -1.5 -110

For this game the Eagles spread is -1.5 -110

With just under a week of betting, it makes sense as to why the line flipped as they are taking 62% of the total bets placed on the spread for Super Bowl 57. The Eagles are also seeing some serious action on the moneyline to win the game as well with 72% of total bets and 75% of the money.

From January 29 to January 30 alone, the line changed seven times leaving the Eagles at -2 on the spread.

Since, the line has flopped back to the Chiefs three times, however, it is the Eagles who are currently favored at the time of writing with 1.5 points leaning their way and has been there for several days. With over a week until the game, big bets on the Chiefs could still have an impact on the spread.

Looking into the series a little more, this marks just the ninth meeting between the Chiefs and Eagles in history and it has been extremely even with the Chiefs holding a 5-4 advantage and having won the last three matchups.

Seven of the nine meetings between the two have been decided by 1 touchdown, and only two of the games have gone over 51.5 points which is the projected point total.

As for where both sit this season, neither one has taken off against the spread or against their point totals. The Eagles have the better record ATS at 10-9 while Kansas City is behind at 7-11-1. However, both teams have top-5 winning margins on the season with the Eagles leading the league at 9.9 points and Kansas City at 7.2.

They both also have identical records with their point totals as well. On the year though, both have positive over margins of at least 0.5.

Both of them have also been to the Super Bowl more often than not in recent years with the Eagles last going in 2018 when they defeated the New England Patriots. For Kansas City, this is their third appearance in four seasons, and have won one Super Bowl in that time.
