Through two weeks, only six NFL teams remain undefeated out of 32.
Following Week 3, at least one of those teams will be tacking on a loss to their record.
On Sunday, September 25, the 2-0 Buffalo Bills will travel down south to take on the Miami Dolphins.
The Bills and superstar Quarterback Josh Allen are quickly establishing themselves as one of the deepest and most talented teams in the entire league. In their first two games, Buffalo toppled the reigning champion Los Angeles Rams and then blew out a suddenly rudderless Tennessee Titans squad.
Allen has been pushing the ball down the field with relative ease, leading his offensive unit to four touchdowns in each game. They’ll look to continue that hot streak against a Dolphins defense that has outplayed expectations thus far.
While it’s not exactly surprising that the Bills sit at 2-0, not many people would have picked the Fins to remain perfect after taking on the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens.
Miami’s offseason strategy to acquire more weapons for franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has paid off handsomely as the Alabama product just outdueled former MVP Lamar Jackson in a shootout. Newly acquired Tyreek Hill has paired up perfectly with Tua’s fellow Crimson Tide alumnus Jaylen Waddle to form arguably the most dominant receiving duo in the league.
With his new weapons in tow, Tagovailoa was able to put up a historically great day in his last outing, tossing out six total touchdowns against the Ravens. Miami shouldn’t expect their third-year quarterback to put up those same numbers against the Bills who figure to have a much stouter passing defense that features Jordan Poyer, Tre’Davious White, and Von Miller.
With Buffalo being the more proven team with the clearly more talented roster, they’ll head to Miami as 4.5-point favorites despite playing far, far away from Highmark Stadium. This Dolphins team might turn out to be the most formidable defense the Bills have faced thus far, but Vegas is still expecting plenty of offensive output from both ends when it’s all said and done.
The over/under has been set at 50.5 points.
The underdog Dolphins have been given 175 odds to win outright. Although Miami has come out hot and Tua is in the midst of a massive third-year leap, the Bills figure to wrap this one up easily and should win both outright and against the spread.
It’s Dolphins Week!
