The NFL Week 11 schedule is packed with intrigue, but is back loaded with three marquee matchups that will draw the bulk of the betting action. We take a look at these games, size up the odds and teams, and give you some free sports betting picks to help you handicap the best battles on the Week 11 slate:
New England Patriots vs. Oakland Raiders (+6.5, 51)
At the start of the season, this neutral-site game in Mexico City was pegged as a AFC Championship Game preview. However, the Raiders haven’t lived up to their end of that hype, bringing a 4-5 SU record a 3-5-1 ATS mark into this Sunday 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. The Patriots, on the other https://tramadolhealth.com hand, are full steam ahead after a bumpy start to the season. New England has won five straight and is 4-1 ATS in that stretch.
The biggest difference maker for the Patriots – and their loyal backers – is the defense. After allowing an average of 32 points per game through the first four weeks of the season, the Pats stop unit has given up just 67 total points in the last five outings – an average of only 13.4 points against per game. Oakland’s once-potent offensive attack has been MIA in 2017, putting up just 21.8 points per contest. That number dips to 17.4 points on the road, and while this game is closer to the Bay Area than Boston, this is still a road tilt for the Raiders.
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (+3, 48)
This NFC East rivalry looks a lot closer than it really should be, with books giving the Cowboys a field goal at home to a very power Philadelphia side. The Eagles soar into Dallas with an 8-1 SU record and have covered the spread in seven of those nine outings. The Cowboys, on the other hand, were trampled in Atlanta last Sunday, and looked lost without suspended running back Ezekiel Elliott bulldozing for first downs.
The Cowboys are holding out hope that the offensive line will be healthy and ready to protect QB Dak Prescott in Week 11 after giving up eight sacks in a 27-7 loss to Atlanta. Those issues stemmed from the absence of missing Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith, who sat out with groin injury. The Eagles defense has tallied 25 sacks on the season and 11 of those QB kills have come in the past three games. On top of that, Philadelphia ranks tops in rushing defense – 66.4 yards against per game – and takes on Dallas’ second and third-string rushers Sunday night.
Atlanta Falcons at Seattle Seahawks (-3, 45)
The Falcons and head coach Dan Quinn come to CenturyLink Field to face Quinn’s former team, the Seahawks, on Monday Night Football. This is a big revenge spot for Seattle, which lost to Atlanta in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs last year. The Seahawks will have 11 days to prepare for this game after defeating Arizona last Thursday.
The Falcons staked their claim in the NFC playoff picture with a statement win over Dallas in Week 10. Atlanta, which was mired in a three-game slide between Weeks 4 and 7, has won two of its last three and could really get back on track with a win at Seattle. While the Atlanta offense is nowhere close to last season’s production, the defense has been sturdy. The Falcons are seventh in total yards allowed and give up just under 20 points per game. Seattle has a long list of injuries, with some big-name players missing on defense. It could be on Russell Wilson and the offense to carry the team in this primetime matchup.
