NBA Western Conference Finals Predictions | News Article by inspin.com

The NBA Playoffs are nearly upon us, so it is time to make some predictions. In this article, I will talk about the teams most likely to win the Western Conference Finals and make the NBA Finals.

Plenty of impressive Western Conference teams will be playing past the regular season, but only one can make the Finals. The two teams with the best chances to do this (in my opinion) are the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns.

The schedule for the finals
NBA Finals Game 1 June 1, 2023
NBA Finals Game 2 June 4, 2023
NBA Finals Game 3 June 7, 2023
NBA Finals Game 4 June 9, 2023
NBA Finals Game 5 (if necessary) June 12, 2023
NBA Finals Game 6 (if necessary) June 15, 2023
NBA Finals Game 7 (if necessary) June 18, 2023

The Nuggets are an obvious choice. They are the top team in the West and are led by back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic. They are also incredibly dominant at home and will have home-court advantage against every Western Conference opponent.

Those are their biggest advantages. However, there are other factors in their favor. One of those additional factors would be the emergence of Jamal Murray. Murray missed last season but is averaging 20 points and 6.2 assists in nearly 33 minutes this year.

As good as the Nuggets are, they have some flaws. Their biggest flaw would be their inability to play without Nikola Jokic. Even though Denver has other weapons in Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr., they lose a lot when Jokic steps off the floor.

This may only be for eight-ten minutes a game, but that is enough time for a lead to vanish or be greatly reduced.

Now, we will move on to the Suns. Phoenix may only be the fourth seed, but they can win it all if they stay healthy. The Suns have the top starting lineup in basketball and four incredible players in Devon Booker, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, and Deandre Ayton.

Let’s go into a little more depth with this lineup. Devon Booker is a top shooting guard in the NBA and a clutch player. Chris Paul is a Hall of Fame and has incredible court vision. Deandre Ayton is a great rebounder and has a very high field-goal percentage.

Finally, we come to Kevin Durant. Durant is the best player on this team and one of the best in the league. His length and ability to score make him a top-three player. His addition pushed Phoenix from on the cusp to a contender.

The Suns have some depth issues, but if their starting lineup produces, they will win this conference.
