The Milwaukee Bucks will travel to Houston to face the Rockets in what will likely be a pretty lopsided battle.
Unexpectedly, the Bucks are one of the best teams in the league. They have the third-best record at 18-6.
On the other side, the Rockets are still in full rebuild mode and are tied with the San Antonio Spurs for the worst record in the Eastern Conference.
The Bucks are on a four-game winning streak and coming off a 106-105 victory against the Dallas Mavericks. Giannis Antetokounmpo fouled out of the game with a few minutes left, and it looked like Dallas was going to pull away.
However, the Mavericks proceeded to miss four free-throws in a row with less than a minute left and hand the game to Milwaukee.
Giannis had a 28-point, ten-rebound double-double, and Jrue Holiday threw in 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. In the end, free throws made the difference in this game. Dallas shot a horrendous 10-24 from the line, and Milwaukee shot an impressive 19-23.
The Rockets lost their last game to the San Antonio Spurs 118-109. The Spurs outscored the Rockets by 16 points in the third quarter, pushing them to victory. The Spurs won this game because of their shooting. San Antonio shot 55.4% overall, and Houston shot 44.9%. Offensively, Alperen Sengun had a strong showing and finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Jabari Smith Jr. also scored well and finished with 23 points.
The Bucks may be on the road, but they will win this game. Their roster is superior to Houston’s, and they play significantly better defense. For those reasons, I do not see many betting on Houston’s moneyline.
It is worth illustrating how elite the truly Milwaukee defense is. The Bucks have one of the best rosters in the league and only allow 107.9 points per game. In this day and age of fast-paced offenses, that is an impressive stat.
To put that even further into perspective, the upstart Rockets have one of the worst defenses in the league and allow 117.2 points per game. I only say all this to explain why the Bucks will easily win this game.
My Prediction: Bucks 123, Rockets 105
