To everyone’s surprise, the Cincinnati Bengals have gotten off to an extremely slow start to their season through four weeks after being Super Bowl contenders in the last two seasons. Four games into the season, Cincy sits with a 1-3 record, and another loss could leave them with too deep of a hole to crawl out of.
The slow start to their season was the opposite of what many thought they were walking in to as their Super Bowl odds were amongst the favorites at 1100. In fact, they were contenders across the board with 150 favored odds to win the AFC North division, and 550 odds to come out as AFC Champions.
Not to mention that had one of the highest preseason win totals at 11 and -300 odds just to make the playoffs.
As they sit right now going into Week 5, their Super Bowl odds have climbed up to 3000, their AFC Championship odds are 1800, and their AFC North odds have fallen to dead last at 750.
They are also the worst team through four weeks against the spread at 0-3-1 and are failing to cover their spreads by an abysmal 13.4 points on average. From a scoring standpoint, they’ve been horrible as well with a 1-3 over record against their projected point totals each week.
Looking at the Bengals from an offensive standpoint, they are the second worst team in the league in points per game at just 12.3, they are barely moving the ball on the ground at just 70 rushing yards per contest, and are in the bottom five in the league in passing yards per game at only 166.
The expectations for Joe Burrow have also dropped significantly after his MVP odds dropped to 8000 after opening as one of the preseason favorites at 750.

While the Bengals have had such as slow start, it leaves an incredible opportunity to bet on a team of their caliber at a huge discount.
When betting $100, if they were to somehow turn things around, their Super Bowl odds would pay out $3,000, $1,800 on their odds to win the AFC title, and $750 if they win the AFC North division championship.
Their road to turn things around begins in Week 5 with a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals where they are going in as a 3-point favorite at home.
